CenDek operates an integrated head office and manufacturing plant in Summerland where we fabricate premium aluminum railing systems for the do-it-yourself homeowner, professional contractor and large-scale commercial developers.

WAREHOUSE/INVENTORY CONTROL

Job Summary:

The Warehouse/Inventory Control person is responsible for monitoring all finished goods and raw material inventory through cycle counts and verification. Reporting deficiencies and working with the inventory control team on corrective actions. You will assist the production and warehouse manager(s) in ERP related data entry and generating shipping documents. This position requires you to work both in the warehouse and on the computer. The qualifications below are not absolute, and we are looking for the right fit. Please apply if you feel it’s the next step in your professional development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cycle count both finished goods and raw materials inventory as per the schedule and as directed by Inventory Control Manager
• Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and location reports.
• Assist in determining root cause of inventory discrepancies and assist in corrective action plans to eliminate repetitive errors.
• Assist production staff in locating and pulling inventories for production requirements.
• Answer all CST, warehouse, production inquiries in a timely manner.
• QC spec all incoming materials as per QC program and quarantining and processing returns as required. 
• Processing production and move transactions within our ERP system. 
• Assist shipping with processing shipments and completing required paperwork for freight companies and customs.
• Receiving shipments into ERP and ensuring locations, etc are recorded/entered properly
• Assist in updating DIMs and weights in database as needed.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.

Qualifications:      

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role or manufacturing/distribution environment.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
• Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk and reach daily as needed to perform all job functions.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment as well as work independently. 
• Ability to be flexible and perform different job functions in the warehouse environment I.e. Data entry, counting stock, driving forklift. 
• Must be able to follow established procedures and best practices. 
• Basic to mid-level computer skills required. Excel and ERP/MRP experience is an asset. 
• High school Certificate required. College diploma or courses an asset. 

This is a full-time entry level position.

• Salary range for this position is $21.00 – $24.00/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

 

POWDER COATER

Job Summary:

The Powder Coater  is responsible for ensuring our railing systems are powder coated with consistency and care, providing a high quality, weather resistant barrier, enabling it to stand the test of time and providing our customers lasting products.

The qualifications below are not absolute, and we are looking for the right person to fill the role. Please apply if you would be a good fit.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coating aluminum parts with powder
• Daily goals are set and must be met
• Learning the science as well as the art of painting
• Moving product through the paint line via a transfer beam system
• Taking down material after checking paint quality
• Helping feed the paint line if necessary

Qualifications:

• This is an entry-level position with a long learning curve. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is reliable, committed to staying in the Okanagan, and eager to learn a new skill.
• This is repetitive work in a fast-paced environment. Successful applicant must be able to stay focussed and perform tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment as well as work independently. 
• Must be able to follow established procedures and best practices.  
• High school certificate required.  

 This is a full-time entry level position.

• Salary range for this position is $23.00/hr depending on experience and qualifications.
• Benefits after 3 months
• Shift available: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday
• Manufacturing plant is located in Summerland, BC
